TOURS AND TV SHOWS

The two-hour Grave Line Tours  (213-469-4149; $40) depart daily at 9:30 a.m. from the east corner of Mann’s Chinese Theatre. Reservations are recommended.

The Los Angeles Conservancy  (213-623-2489) charges $5 for its walking tours of historic downtown areas. Be sure to make reservations for the two-hour tours, which leave from the Biltmore Hotel’s Olive Street entrance on Saturdays at 10 a.m.

There’s no charge for tickets to live tapings of TV shows, but they’re usually given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Call ABC (818-506-0067), CBS (213-852-2458), or NBC (818-840-3537). For same-day or same-week tickets, try Audiences Unlimited (818-506-0067).

Half-Price Theater  For same-day, half-price theater tickets, call Theater LA (213-688-2787). The L.A. Weekly and L.A. Reader, available free at the entrances of many stores and restaurants, list plays, concerts, museum exhibits, and other events.
