Atlantic coastal plain From New York to Florida and up to the Mexican boundary continues to extend 200 km of broad land strips. Rocky Mountains From Alaska over Canada and the west of USA (Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico) to Mexico the " rock mountains " extend. Here it goes over into the Cordillieres of the South American mainland and forms so the enormous rock backs for that the American continent pulls through. In the North American area the rock comb stretches partly on a width of 1.500 km. East the Rockys stretch the Great Plains, in the west borders the Great Basin and the Columbia plateau.
